Task 1 : Business Letters


BUSINESS LETTERS
Letter Commerce / Business is a letter that is used in business institutions and written by a commercial company with trade message.
Style of Business Letters
1.        Full Block Style
Full block style is a form letter in which the neck, body and legs letters do not form a paragraph but make a full block from left to right. And writing this letter starts on the left side.
Advantages : Easier and doesn’t require much time

2.        Block Style
Block style is a form letter typing mailing address, number of letters, greeting and attachments in from the left side of the letter; while the date of the letter, closing greetings, signer name and title typed or placed on the right hand side of the letter.
Advantages : Form of a letter like this more clear, practical, and widely used

3.        Semi Block Style/Modified Block Style
Semi-block style is the development of a block style, in which all parts of the letter is typed as block style, except the contents of the letter.. Each end of the new paragraph typed after 5 beats of the left edge line peg. Usually used in wedding invitation letter
Advantages : Form of a letter like this quite a lot of options for typing process is not too difficult and the shape looks beautiful.

4.        Indented Style
Indented Style is a form letter in which the letters were addressed had para-shaped formations line the stairs down.
Writing or typing the destination address starting five beat for each row. The second line starts five buffeting from the beginning of the first line. Beginning the third line began five buffeting from the beginning of the second row and so on.
Advantages : This letter seemed to stand out and attract as punctuation rules are strictly followed.

5.        Simplified Style
Modern style is a form letter that is almost similar to the full Block Style, but there is no salutation and closing.
Advantages : The writing of this letter is very simple without the need to see the neatness and regularity.

6.        Hamging-Indentation Style
Hanging Indentation Style is a form letter in which the body of the letter has a hanging paragraph. After a new paragraph, the next line is typed five buffeting from the left side of the first paragraph.
Advantages :
·      Used in advertising, the goal is simply to attract attention.
·      Used to the letter associated with a variety of different topics.

1.        The Heading (The Retern Address) or Letterhead
2.        Date
3.        The Inside Address
4.        The Greeting
5.        The Subject Line
6.        The Body Paragraph
7.        Signature and Writer’s identification
8.        Initials, Enclosures, Copies

Types of Business Letters
1.        Inquiry Letters
Inquiry Letters is a kind of letter of request or a request for information about a product, service, jobs or other business information.

2.        Order Letters
Order letter used to order goods in accordance with the amount needed by the company either by using the official order form or not.

3.        Complaint Letters
Complaint letter, is normally written to deal with a problem situation when other attempts (i.e. phone contacts, e-mails, etc.)

4.        Payment Letters
Letters accompanying payments for specific products or services. payment letter of determining who is paying, to whom, and through what the payment is made.

5.        Aplication Letters
Application Letter is a business letter that serves to apply for a job at a company or an institution

6.        Curriculum Vitae
Curicculum vitae is a document that gives an overview of a person's experience and other qualifications.
